The contribution of expatriate Bangladeshis to the economy, society, and culture of Bangladesh is immense. The lives and livelihoods of millions of people in the country are directly and indirectly connected to the hard work, talent, entrepreneurial spirit, and achievements of Bangladeshis living across the world. Yet, for a long time, there has been a growing need for an integrated platform to highlight the lives, challenges, opportunities, mutual connections, and contributions of expatriate Bangladeshis to their homeland.
It is from this very need that the journey of Probashi Club begins.
Probashi Club is more than just an organization; it is a commitment to building a bridge of communication, cooperation, and harmony among Bangladeshis living at home and abroad. This initiative aims to harness the experience, talent, financial capacity, and human potential of expatriate Bangladeshis for the development of Bangladesh and the well-being of its people.
An expatriate Bangladeshi is not merely a worker or an immigrant. He or she is also a representative of Bangladesh. Their success is closely connected to the image, economy, and future prospects of the country. At the same time, behind every achievement in expatriate life lies a story of struggle, separation, uncertainty, and the realities of life abroad. Probashi Club seeks to preserve those stories—to celebrate success, stand beside people in times of crisis, and help turn opportunities into possibilities for the future.
The core philosophy of Probashi Club is—Unity, Cooperation, and Development.
Guided by this philosophy, the Club seeks to strengthen communication and cooperation among expatriate Bangladeshis, work on their challenges and opportunities, encourage investment and entrepreneurship, promote education and skills development, undertake social and humanitarian initiatives, and build effective relationships between Bangladesh and its expatriate community.
Bangladeshis living in different parts of the world possess an enormous wealth of experience and expertise. Some are business leaders, entrepreneurs, doctors, engineers, teachers, journalists, technologists, and successful professionals in various fields. At the same time, a new generation of expatriate Bangladeshis is making its mark around the world through talent, knowledge, and achievement. Probashi Club aims to bring these diverse and scattered strengths together on a common platform.
Strengthening the relationship between expatriate Bangladeshis and their homeland is another key objective of the Club. Probashi Club envisions building a strong Bangladesh–Diaspora Connection by linking the investment, knowledge, technology, and experience of expatriate Bangladeshis with the development efforts of Bangladesh.
Probashi Club believes that distance may separate people, but it cannot separate relationships. Wherever in the world a Bangladeshi may live, their roots remain in Bangladesh. Strengthening that connection with their roots and creating a reliable, modern, and humane platform for expatriate Bangladeshis are at the heart of the Club’s journey.
This journey may have begun today as a small initiative, but its dream is much greater—to bring Bangladeshis living across the world under one common umbrella and channel the collective power of cooperation, humanity, knowledge, and potential toward building a better future for Bangladesh.
